Housed in a building that was once a stable and coach house dating back to 1781, the hall has been operating as an exhibition space since 1985. In the early 1920s, the building was transferred to the 8th Daugavpils Infantry Regiment of the Latvian army and was later used as a warehouse and garage. In 1985, after reconstruction, it became the Exhibition Hall.
