Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by entering Pape Nature Reserve from the main road (A11). Once inside the reserve, follow the signs towards the main visitor center. From the visitor center, take the unnamed road towards Joda dambis. Keep driving for approximately 10 km, and you will find Joda dambis on your right-hand side. There is no parking fee, but make sure to park in designated areas.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Joda dambis via public transportation, catch a bus from Liepaja to Pape. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pape, you will need to either walk or take a taxi to reach Joda dambis. The distance is approximately 5 km, so expect a 1-hour walk or a short taxi ride. Ensure to check the local bus schedule for the latest timings.

• Walking

  If you are already within Pape Nature Reserve and wish to walk to Joda dambis, start from the visitor center. Follow the marked trails leading towards the unnamed road. The walk is approximately 3 km and will take about 40 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, but wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Pape Nature Reserve. Follow the designated cycling paths leading towards Joda dambis. The route is about 3 km from the visitor center. It should take around 15-20 minutes to reach your destination. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
