Getting There

• Train

  Start at Jurmala's local train station, Jūrmala (Majori). Purchase a ticket to Rīga, which is only a short ride away. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic views as it takes you to Rīga. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Rīga Central Station, exit the train and follow the signs towards the city center.

• Public Bus

  From Jurmala, head to the nearest bus stop and take a bus towards Rīga. Look for routes that directly state Rīga as the destination. The ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes. You will arrive at a central bus station in Rīga. From there, walk towards the city center, following signs that indicate the direction of 'Old Town' (Vecrīga).

• Bicycle

  If you are feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Jurmala. Head towards the Jūrmala Beach promenade and follow the coast until you reach the river. Cross the bridge into Rīga. Once you arrive, navigate through the streets to reach Pils laukums 3. It is approximately a 15 km ride, so ensure you are comfortable cycling for about an hour.

• Walking

  If you're up for a long walk, take the scenic route from Jurmala to Rīga. Walk along the coast heading north until you reach the bridge over the Daugava River. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight into the city. This journey will take around 2-3 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
