Lūznava Manor, often called the pearl of Latgale, is a remarkable example of Romantic Art Nouveau architecture. Constructed in 1911 by Eugenia Kerbedz, the manor served as a summer residence and a gathering place for artists, musicians, and literati. The building's unique design features asymmetrical elements, brick and stone construction, and a wind vane displaying the year of its erection. Throughout its history, the manor has served various purposes, including a school for the deaf, a military headquarters, and a local administrative center. In 2015, after extensive renovations, Lūznava Manor was reborn as a cultural center, hosting concerts, exhibitions, seminars, and other events. Visitors can explore the manor's historical exhibits, stroll through the surrounding park with its diverse trees, rose gardens and picturesque ponds, and even stay overnight in one of the manor's residences. The manor offers a variety of activities, including guided tours, art workshops, and musical performances. The interactive exhibition "Kerbedzs: Following Engineering Ideas" and the informative Bat Exhibition are permanent features. The renovated chapel adds another layer of historical and architectural interest. Lūznava Manor is not just a historical site; it's a dynamic space where art, history, and nature converge to create a memorable experience.
