If you're starting from the Ventspils Central Market, head southeast on Lielais laukums street. Keep walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach the large square. You will see the Fregate whale fountain in the center of the square, easily recognizable for its unique design.

Starting from the Ventspils Sea Port, exit the port area and walk towards the main road, Brīvības iela. Turn left onto Brīvības iela and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with Lielais laukums, turn right. The Fregate whale fountain is located in the center of Lielais laukums.

Take the city bus number 1 from the Ventspils Bus Station. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the Lielais laukums stop. From there, you can easily see the Fregate whale fountain in the square.

If you have a bike, start from the Ventspils Beach area. Head northeast on Jūras iela towards the city center. After about 2 kilometers, turn right onto Lielais laukums. The Fregate whale fountain will be in front of you as you enter the square.
