Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Anjar, start your journey from the local market area. Head east on the main street (Al-Mashtoul Street) until you reach the intersection with Al-Hawzah Street. Turn left onto Al-Hawzah Street and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will see the large stone entrance marking the start of the Anjar Citadel area on your right. Follow the pathway leading to the citadel entrance.

    If you are at the Anjar bus station, exit the station and turn left onto the main road. Walk straight for approximately 1 kilometer, passing by several local shops and cafes. Once you reach the intersection with Al-Mashtoul Street, turn right. Continue walking until you see the citadel entrance on your left. The citadel is just a short walk from here.

    From the Anjar Mosque, head south on the main road for about 300 meters. At the first major intersection, take a right onto Al-Hawzah Street. Continue straight for approximately 700 meters. The entrance to the Anjar Citadel will be on your right, marked by a large stone structure.
