Car
If you're driving from central Bsharri, head north on the main road (Lebanon Route 51) for about 5 kilometers. You'll see signs for Qadisha Valley and the Monastery of St. Anthony. Turn left onto the road leading into the valley, which will take you directly towards Qadisha. The journey will take approximately 15 minutes. You may need to pay a small parking fee at the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Qadisha via public transport, take a shared taxi (service) from the main taxi station in Bsharri towards Qadisha Valley. These taxis usually leave when they are full, so it may be necessary to wait a little while. The fare is typically around 5,000 to 10,000 LBP (Lebanese Pounds). Once you arrive at the Qadisha Valley drop-off point, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the Qadisha site itself.
Hiking
For the more adventurous, consider hiking to Qadisha Valley. Start from the Bsharri town center and follow the marked trails that lead into the valley. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and plenty of water. The hike will take about 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level. This is a free option, but make sure to check local maps or guides for the best routes.
Use Qadisha as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
