Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Byblos Archaeological Site, exit the site and head south towards the coast. Continue straight along the coastal path, enjoying the views of the Mediterranean Sea. After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach Byblos Port. From there, turn left and walk along the port promenade. Continue walking until you reach the main road. UNESCO Square is located near the center of Byblos, so you can keep walking straight for another 5 minutes until you see the square on your right side.

    Starting from Byblos Castle, exit the castle grounds and turn right onto the main road. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection. At the intersection, continue straight past the local shops and cafes. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see UNESCO Square on your left. It is a spacious area often filled with locals and tourists alike.

    If you are at the Byblos Souks (the shopping area), exit the souk and head towards the main road (Beirut-Tripoli road). Turn left and walk for about 2 minutes until you reach the traffic lights. Cross the intersection and continue walking straight for another 8 minutes. You will arrive at UNESCO Square, which will be on your right side, marked by its lively atmosphere and nearby cafes.
