Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the Byblos Souk, which is a popular area filled with shops and cafes. Head north on the main road (Byblos - Jbeil Road) for about 500 meters. Look for the sign for the Byblos Castle on your right and take that right turn. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road and keep left towards the archaeological site. After about 200 meters, you will see the entrance to the El (L Shaped) Temple on your left, marked by a small sign.

    If you are starting from the Byblos Port, exit the port area and head towards the main road. Turn left and follow the road for approximately 400 meters. You will pass several historical buildings. Continue straight until you see the Byblos Castle on your left. From there, follow the same directions as above, turning right at the castle and continuing to the archaeological site where the El (L Shaped) Temple is located.

    From the Byblos Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and head directly south towards the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk for about 300 meters. Look for the Byblos Castle on your right. Turn right at the castle and follow the road until you reach the fork. Keep left at the fork and continue straight for about 200 meters. You will find the El (L Shaped) Temple on your left.
