Walking
If you are in the center of Deir el Qamar, start by heading towards the main road that leads out of the town, which is near the Municipality building. Walk down the main street until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Sidon. Turn left at the intersection, and continue walking straight. You will pass several small shops and local cafes. Stay on this road, which will gradually take you downhill. After about 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the edge of Sidon. Follow the signs for the city center, and you will soon see the prominent landmarks of Sidon, such as the sea castle. The entire journey should take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
Taxi
From any location in Deir el Qamar, you can easily find a local taxi. Simply ask any local or look for a taxi stand near the town center. When you get into the taxi, inform the driver that you want to go to Sidon. The driver will take the main road connecting Deir el Qamar to Sidon. The drive should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you have some Lebanese Lira for the fare, which should be around 15,000 to 20,000 Lira.
Public Transport (Mini-Bus)
To reach Sidon using public transport, walk to the main square in Deir el Qamar, where you will find a mini-bus station. Look for a mini-bus that has a sign indicating it is heading to Sidon. The buses usually leave when full, so you may have to wait a short while. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Sidon, you can disembark at the main bus station, which is centrally located. From there, you can easily walk to the nearby attractions.
