Driving
From Beirut, take the main road northeast towards Jbeil (Byblos). Continue past Byblos, heading east on Route 1 towards Afqa. Follow the signs for Afqa, driving through scenic mountain roads. Upon reaching Afqa, look for roads leading up into the hills towards the waterfall. Parking is available near the site. Note that some roads may be uneven, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Parking fees may vary depending on the season.
Public Transport
From Jbeil, take a local bus or shared taxi (service) towards Afqa. Look for buses marked 'Afqa' or ask locals for assistance. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From the drop-off point in Afqa, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to the waterfall following scenic paths. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. As of 2024, bus fares from Beirut to the North (including Jbeil) are approximately 75,000 LBP. A shared taxi ('service') within Beirut costs around 150,000 LBP. Confirm the final drop-off point with the driver to ensure proximity to the waterfall.
