Walking
If you are near the Sidon Sea Castle, head east along the Corniche (the seafront promenade). After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the main square. From there, continue straight until you see the vibrant market area. Walk through the market, keeping an eye out for local shops and vendors. The El-Omari Great Mosque is situated just a few blocks from the market. As you approach, look for a narrow street on your right that leads to the mosque. The entrance will be visible, marked by its beautiful architecture.
Walking
If you are at the Sidon Souk (market area), exit the souk and turn left onto the main street. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes. You will notice the mosque's minaret in the distance. As you get closer, keep right at the fork on the street and follow the signs pointing towards the El-Omari Great Mosque. The mosque will be on your left-hand side.
Walking
From the Sidon Fishing Port, head west along the waterfront. Walk past the old wooden fishing boats and continue straight for about 15 minutes. As you approach the old city, look for signs indicating the direction of the El-Omari Great Mosque. You will need to turn left into a narrow alleyway that leads directly to the mosque. Keep an eye out for the mosque's impressive façade as you approach.
