Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From most points in the city center of Tyre, the Public Beach is easily accessible by foot. Head west towards the coast, and you'll find the beach within a 5-10 minute walk. The beach is located near the 'Ruins of Tyre: The Egyptian Port'.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Tyre. A short taxi ride from the Tyre Necropolis or the Al Bass Archaeological Site to the Public Beach will cost approximately 5,000-8,000 LBP. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Public Transport
If arriving by minibus from Beirut or Sidon, you'll likely be dropped off at the Al Bass roundabout. From there, you can take a local 'service' taxi (shared taxi) towards the city center and ask to be dropped off near the Public Beach. The 'service' fare should be around 2,000-3,000 LBP.
