If you are driving from Monrovia, take the Robertsfield Highway (Airport Road) heading southeast. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Buchanan Highway. Turn left onto the Buchanan Highway and follow it for approximately 50 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Buchanan. As you approach Buchanan, keep an eye out for the sign indicating Libassa Ecolodge. Turn right onto the dirt road leading to the lodge. The total travel time should be around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

To reach Libassa Ecolodge using public transportation, start by taking a shared taxi or minibus from Monrovia to Buchanan. These can be found at various taxi parks in Monrovia, especially around Waterside and Duala. The fare is typically around 5 to 10 USD per person. The journey to Buchanan takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Buchanan, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'Okada') to take you to Libassa Ecolodge, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. The motorcycle taxi fare should be around 3 to 5 USD. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
