Kunstraum Engländerbau is a contemporary art space situated in the heart of Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Housed on the second floor of the Engländerbau building, this non-profit gallery has become an important platform for contemporary art from Liechtenstein and the surrounding region since its establishment in 2002. The Engländerbau itself has a rich history. Built in 1933/1934, it was initially the headquarters of a British lottery company and later housed a dental factory and a radio station. In 1944, the State of Liechtenstein acquired the building and used it to exhibit the Princely Art Collection. After the collection moved to the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, the Engländerbau was repurposed as an art space. Today, Kunstraum Engländerbau presents four to five solo or group exhibitions each year, accompanied by a diverse program of events. The gallery aims to promote artistic creativity in all its forms, fostering exchange and engagement with art. With its minimalist architecture, the gallery provides a serene backdrop for contemplation and appreciation of the artworks on display. Visitors can encounter a variety of mediums, from paintings and sculptures to multimedia installations.
