Public Transport
To reach Sareiserjoch using public transport, begin at the Vaduz, Post bus stop. Take bus line 21 towards Malbun, Jöraboda. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From the Malbun, Jöraboda bus stop, follow the signs to the Sareis valley station. From June 14 to July 31, 2025, a replacement service with minibuses is available to get to Sareis due to a general overhaul of the Sareis chairlift. From August 1, 2025, the Sareis chairlift will be operational again. A single bus ticket from Vaduz to Malbun costs approximately 2-3 CHF. A one-way ticket on the Sareis chairlift costs 10.30 CHF for adults and 5.70 CHF for children.
Walking
From the Malbun Zentrum bus stop, follow the signs towards the Bergbahnen Malbun (Sareis cable car). The walk to the Sareis valley station takes about 10 minutes. From the Sareis valley station, you can either hike to Sareiserjoch or take the Sareis chairlift. The hike to Sareiserjoch from the bus stop takes approximately 1.5 hours. A one-way ticket on the Sareis chairlift costs 10.30 CHF for adults and 5.70 CHF for children. Note that the Sareis chairlift is out of service until July 31, 2025, and a replacement minibus service is available.
Car
If arriving by car, navigate towards Malbun. Follow the mountain road past Treisenberg and Steg. In Malbun, parking is available at the Hochegg and Taeli chairlifts and at the Schneeflucht T-bar lift; parking is free. From the parking area, follow signs to the Sareis gondola lift station. From there, you can hike to Sareiserjoch or take the Sareis chairlift. Note that the Sareis chairlift is out of service until July 31, 2025, and a replacement minibus service is available.
