Car
From Malbun, head west on the L1 road towards Vaduz. Take the exit towards Schaan and continue on the L25 road. After approximately 4 km, turn right onto the road that leads towards Silum. Continue on this road for about 3 km, and you will reach a parking area near the start of the hiking trail to Gafleisattel. Please note that parking may incur a fee, which varies depending on the duration of your stay.
Public Transportation
From Malbun, take the local bus towards Vaduz. Get off at the Vaduz Post stop, and transfer to bus line 11 towards Schaan. Once in Schaan, get off at the Silum stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 km uphill to reach the trailhead for Gafleisattel. The bus fare is generally around CHF 2-4, depending on the distance traveled.
Hiking
Once you reach the trailhead, follow the marked hiking path towards Gafleisattel. The hike is well-signposted and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. The trail is moderately challenging and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear, bring water, and check the weather conditions before you set off.
