Getting there

Public Transport

To reach Valünatal via public transport, take bus line 21 from Planken towards Vaduz. Get off at the Triesen stop. From there, you can walk towards Valünatal (approximately 30 minutes) or check local bus schedules for connections towards Triesenberg, which may bring you closer. A single bus fare within Liechtenstein typically costs around CHF 2-3.

Walking

If you are in Triesen, head towards the Triesenberg trailhead in the center of town. Follow the marked hiking trails towards Valünatal. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, offering scenic views. Ensure you have appropriate hiking shoes and water.

Car

If driving, head southeast on Landstrasse towards Triesen from Planken. Continue until the intersection with the road to Triesenberg. Turn left onto Triesenbergstrasse and follow signs for Triesenberg. After about 5km, you'll arrive in Triesen. From there, follow signs to Valünatal and look for parking areas near the hiking trails. Parking is available at Steg near Gänglesee. Parking fees may apply.

In winter, enjoy a prepared and signposted winter hiking trail from December to the end of March, starting at the Gänglesee car park. This trail leads along the Saminabach stream, through snow-covered trees, towards Alp Valüna. Note that Alp Valüna is not open in winter, so bring a picnic.
