The Gasometer Kulturzentrum is the cultural heart of Triesen, Liechtenstein, located in the architecturally interesting complex of the former Jenny, Spörry & Cie cotton mill, which was established in 1863. The center provides a wide array of programs encompassing all facets of art and culture. Since its opening on March 24, 2006, the Gasometer has hosted over 90 exhibitions and hundreds of cultural events. The center's name is derived from the gas tower that was once used to store calcium carbide for the factory's gas lamps around 120 years ago. The main exhibition hall was once the factory's metal workshop. The Kulturzentrum serves as a dynamic gathering place for the entire community. Exhibitions and events covering art, history, and current social issues make the Gasometer a venue for cultural engagement and enrich village life. The program includes art exhibitions by regional and international artists, thematic exhibitions, and projects related to the village and national history. Accompanying events and cultural activities showcase music, theater, dance, and literature. Visitors can also explore the factory's industrial past in a specially designed exhibition space, with the last remaining loom from Triesen, built in 1957, as its centerpiece.
