From Oberland, drive west on the L19 road toward Vaduz. Continue on the L19 until you reach the junction with the A13 highway. Merge onto the A13 towards Chur and proceed for about 4 kilometers. Take exit 10 towards Sevelen. Continue on Rheinstrasse for approximately 2 kilometers until you arrive at Alte Rheinbrücke. Parking is available nearby, but a small fee may apply.

In the 1860s, efforts to control the Rhine's flow led to the construction of flood-proof dams, enabling the building of bridges. Between 1867 and 1879, thirteen covered wooden bridges were erected in the Rhine Valley, but the Alte Rheinbrücke is the sole survivor. The bridge is built according to the Howe's system, which combines diagonal pressure elements made of wood with vertical tension elements made of metal.Today, the bridge is open only to pedestrians and cyclists, providing a tranquil path between the two countries. As you walk or cycle across, you can enjoy views of the Rhine and the surrounding landscapes.
