Getting There

    From Aukstaitija National Park, head west on the A14 road towards Druskininkai. Continue for about 60 km until you reach the junction with the A1 highway. Merge onto the A1 and drive towards Klaipeda. As you approach Klaipeda, follow signs for the ferry terminal. The ferry to Curonian Spit is located at the Klaipeda ferry terminal, and you will need to take the ferry to Smiltynė. The ferry ride takes approximately 10 minutes and costs about €2. Once you arrive in Smiltynė, follow the signs leading to Nida, which is the main settlement on the Curonian Spit. The drive from Smiltynė to Nida will take about 40 minutes.

    To use public transportation, take a bus from various locations in Aukstaitija National Park to Vilnius or Klaipeda. From Vilnius, you can catch an intercity bus to Klaipeda.
