Start at the Utena bus station (Autobusų stotis). Head east on Maironio gatvė toward Juozo Tumo-Vaižganto gatvė. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ežero gatvė. Turn left onto Ežero gatvė and walk straight for about 1.5 km. You will pass several residential areas and parks. As you approach the end of Ežero gatvė, you will see a sign for Laiptai prie Vyžuonaičio ežero. The entrance to the site is located on your right, near the lake.

From the Utena bus station, take bus number 1 towards Vyžuonaičiai. The bus will take you along Ežero gatvė. You need to alight at the 'Ežero g. 42' stop. After getting off, walk a short distance (about 200 meters) back towards the lake. You will see Laiptai prie Vyžuonaičio ežero on your left, along the lakeside.
