Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Vilnius Cathedral, head southeast towards Cathedral Square. Continue walking straight onto Šventaragio Street. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Maironio Street. Turn left onto Maironio Street and continue for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Aušros Vartų Street. Turn right onto Aušros Vartų Street, and after about 200 meters, you will see the Gate of Dawn on your left at Aušros Vartų g. 14.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From the Vilnius Railway Station, walk to the nearest tram stop called 'Stotis'. Board tram number 1 or 2 heading towards 'Zirmunai' or 'Savininkų g.' respectively. Ride for two stops and get off at 'Aušros Vartų' stop. From the stop, walk straight down Aušros Vartų Street for about 150 meters, and you will arrive at the Gate of Dawn at Aušros Vartų g. 14.

    If you are starting from the Užupis area, head towards the bridge connecting Užupis to the Old Town. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Maironio Street. Walk for approximately 600 meters until you reach Aušros Vartų Street. Turn left on Aušros Vartų Street, and the Gate of Dawn will be on your left after about 200 meters.

    From the main bus station ('Vilniaus Autobusų Stotis'), walk to the nearby bus stop 'Stotis'. Take bus number 53 or 88 and travel for about 5 stops. Disembark at 'Aušros Vartų' stop. Walk straight along Aušros Vartų Street for approximately 150 meters, and you will find the Gate of Dawn at Aušros Vartų g. 14.
