    From Sabine National Wildlife Refuge, head south on LA-27 S towards Hackberry. Continue on LA-27 S and take the exit for I-10 E towards New Orleans. Merge onto I-10 E and continue for approximately 40 miles. Take exit 265 for LA-434 towards Lacombe. Turn left onto LA-434. The Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right at 61389 LA-434, Lacombe, LA 70445. Total travel time is approximately 1 hour depending on traffic.

    Take a Greyhound bus from Hackberry to New Orleans. From the New Orleans Greyhound station, transfer to a local bus (e.g., Jefferson Transit) or rideshare service to get to Lacombe.
