    Start from Grand Isle State Park and head north on LA-1. Follow LA-1 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with LA-3235. Turn left onto LA-3235 and continue for about 12 miles. Merge onto US-90 N via the ramp to New Orleans. Stay on US-90 N for approximately 30 miles, then take the exit toward LA-59 N. Continue on LA-59 N for about 10 miles. Finally, turn right onto LA-1089, and Fontainebleau State Park will be on your left at 62883 LA-1089, Mandeville, LA 70448. Make sure to check for any tolls on US-90 N.

  • Public Transportation

    From Grand Isle State Park, you will need to drive or arrange transportation to the nearest bus station, which is in Lafitte, LA. From Lafitte, take the Jefferson Transit bus (route 100) to the Kenner Transfer Center. Once at the Kenner Transfer Center, transfer to the Greyhound bus service heading towards New Orleans. After arriving in New Orleans, switch to the Greyhound bus service that goes to Mandeville. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Once in Mandeville, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Fontainebleau State Park at 62883 LA-1089, Mandeville, LA 70448. Be aware that bus fares may incur additional costs.
