From Sabine National Wildlife Refuge, head northeast on LA-27 N toward LA-82 E. Continue on LA-27 N for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with I-10. Merge onto I-10 E towards New Orleans. Stay on I-10 E for approximately 70 miles. Take exit 240B for US-11 N toward Slidell. Continue on US-11 N for about 8 miles, then take the exit for I-12 E toward Hammond. After about 5 miles on I-12 E, take exit 59 for LA-59 N. Continue on LA-59 N for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Lock 1 Rd. Turn left onto Lock 1 Rd, and Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right. Total driving time is approximately 1.5 hours.
