From the center of Alzette Valley, head north on the N7 road. Follow the signs for Vianden. After approximately 21 km, you will arrive at the town of Vianden. Once in Vianden, follow the signs for 'Château de Vianden' which will guide you up the hill to Mnt du Château, where the castle is located. There is a parking area near the castle, which may incur a small fee.

From Alzette Valley, take a bus to the Vianden stop. You can check local schedules for routes that service Vianden, usually bus line 570 from Ettelbruck. The journey takes around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Vianden bus stop, follow the signs to the castle. It's about a 15-minute walk uphill to Mnt du Château where the castle is located. Be aware that there might be a small fee for the bus fare.
