Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Clervaux. Head towards the Clervaux Castle, which is the most prominent landmark. From the castle, take Rue de la Gare heading southeast. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route de Lieler. Turn left onto Route de Lieler and follow it for approximately 2 km. You will pass through scenic countryside. Keep an eye out for signage directing you to Grotte Mutter Gottes. Once you arrive in Lieler, the grotto is located slightly off the main road. Look for the entrance which is marked and may require a short walk up a path.

• Biking

  Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Clervaux. Start at the Clervaux train station and follow the bike path towards Lieler. The path will lead you along Route de Lieler. This route is approximately 2 km long and is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride through the Luxembourg countryside. Once you get to Lieler, park your bike and take a short walk to Grotte Mutter Gottes, which is located off the main road.

• Public Transport

  From Clervaux, take the local bus service towards Lieler. Check the bus schedule at the Clervaux bus station for the most current times. The ride is approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive in Lieler, disembark at the stop closest to the village center. From there, Grotte Mutter Gottes is a short 15-minute walk. Follow the main road and look for signs directing you to the grotto.
