Getting There

    From Diekirch, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Avenue de la Libération, just a few minutes from the town center. Catch bus number 1 towards Luxembourg City. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. You will get off at the 'Luxembourg, Gare' bus stop. From there, transfer to tram line 1 towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon' and ride it for two stops, getting off at 'Luxembourg, Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg'. After exiting the tram, follow the signs for the elevator to the 'Pfaffenthal' viewpoint, which will take you up to the upper level. Walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes, passing through the park, until you reach the Mudam Museum of Modern Art, located at 3 Park Drai Eechelen.

  • Walking

    If you're already in the center of Diekirch, start at the Diekirch train station. Walk south on Rue de la Gare, then turn left onto Rue de l'Industrie. Continue straight until you reach Place de la Liberté. From there, head to the nearest bus stop to catch bus number 1 or if you prefer walking, you can follow the scenic route along the Alzette River. Head towards the direction of the city center of Luxembourg and continue along the riverbank until you reach the Grand Ducal Palace. From the palace, head northeast towards the 'Parc de la Ville', then follow the signs to the Mudam Museum, which is about a 30-minute walk.

    Start by making your way to the Diekirch train station. Purchase a ticket for a train heading to Luxembourg City. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Luxembourg City station, exit the station and either catch bus number 1 as previously described or take a short walk to the tram stop at 'Luxembourg, Gare'. Board tram line 1 towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon', and ride for two stops. Get off at 'Luxembourg, Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg'. From the tram stop, follow the signs for the elevator to the viewpoint, and then walk through the park to the Mudam Museum, which is about a 10-minute walk.
