Walking
From Diekirch City Center, head southwest on Rue de la Gare towards Rue de l'Industrie. Continue straight until you reach Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. Turn right onto Rue de la Libération and follow it as it becomes Rue de la Cité. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Liberté. Turn left and walk along Avenue de la Liberté until you reach the bus stop called 'Luxembourg Gare'.

At the 'Luxembourg Gare' bus stop, take bus number 1 or number 16 heading towards 'Clausen'. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Fort Thüngen'. From the bus stop, walk a short distance to your right, and you will see the entrance to Fort Thüngen.

Walking
If you prefer a scenic route, after arriving in the Clausen area, instead of using the bus, you can walk along the Alzette River. Start at the bridge near the 'Luxembourg Gare' and walk south along the riverbank. Follow the path for about 20 minutes until you reach Fort Thüngen. The walk is picturesque and will allow you to see the charming architecture of the area.
