From the center of Echternach, walk to the bus stop 'Echternach, Gare' located at 1, Rue de la Gare. Take the bus number 570 heading towards 'Vianden'. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Vianden, Gare'. From there, head up Rue de la Gare towards the center of Vianden. Continue straight onto Rue des Jardins, and follow the signs to Vianden Castle, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the main square in Echternach, heading north on Rue de la Gare. This route will take you through the beautiful countryside and along the river. The total distance is about 12 kilometers, which may take around 2.5 to 3 hours. Follow the signs towards Vianden, and you will eventually arrive at Mnt du Château, where Vianden Castle is located.

Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle in Echternach. Once you have your bike, head north out of Echternach on the cycle path towards Vianden. The bike ride is about 12 kilometers and will take approximately 40 minutes. Follow the signs for the cycle route towards Vianden, and you will reach the castle at Mnt du Château, which is located on a hill overlooking the town.
