Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Our Valley and head towards the main road, N1. Follow the N1 towards the city of Luxembourg. After approximately 20 minutes of driving, take the exit toward Avenue de la Liberté. Continue straight onto Avenue de la Liberté, then turn left onto Rue de la Gare. Follow this road until you reach the roundabout at Place de la Gare. Take the second exit onto Avenue de la Gare, then continue straight until you reach Rue du Fort. Turn right onto Mnt du Grund. The Spanish (Grund) Gate will be on your left. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees or restrictions.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, begin your journey at the nearest bus stop in Our Valley. Take bus line 1 towards Luxembourg City. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the stop 'Luxembourg, Gare.' From there, follow the signs to the train station and take a train towards Luxembourg City. Once you arrive at the Luxembourg station, exit and walk towards Avenue de la Liberté. Continue walking straight until you reach Rue du Fort. Turn left onto Mnt du Grund. The Spanish (Grund) Gate will be located on your left. Ensure to check the local bus and train schedules for departure times and potential costs, which typically range around €2 per ride.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at Place d'Armes in Our Valley. Head northeast towards Rue du Curé, then proceed onto Rue des Bains. Continue straight until you reach Place de la Constitution, and then follow the signs toward Mnt du Grund. It’s a scenic route that will take you approximately 30 minutes on foot. Enjoy the local architecture and atmosphere as you walk towards Spanish (Grund) Gate.
