To reach Réserve spéciale d’Ankarana by car, start in Antsiranana (Diego Suarez) and head south on Route Nationale 6. After approximately 108 km, turn left onto a dirt road leading to the entrance of the reserve. The drive from Antsiranana to Ankarana takes about 2-3 hours depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Réserve spéciale d’Ankarana by public transportation, take a taxi brousse from Antsiranana to Mahamasina, a village near the reserve.
