Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Antananarivo on Route Nationale 1 (RN1). Continue on RN1 for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the exit towards Lemurs Park, which is located near the town of Ambohimanga. Follow the signs leading to Lemurs Park from the exit. The drive should take around 2 hours, depending on traffic. Note that you may encounter some tolls along the way, so be prepared with cash for these fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Lemurs Park via public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the main taxi-brousse station in Bongolava. Look for a taxi-brousse heading to Antananarivo. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Lemurs Park or at the nearest drop-off point. The fare is typically around 15,000 Ariary. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, you may need to take a short taxi ride to reach the park entrance, which could cost an additional 5,000 Ariary.
Combination (Car and Taxi)
If you're using a combination of car and taxi, drive to the nearest taxi-brousse station and park your car there. Then take a taxi-brousse to Antananarivo, ensuring you get off at the stop for Lemurs Park. After disembarking, hire a local taxi to cover the remaining distance to the park entrance. This option allows for convenience while also experiencing local transport.
