Walking
Start at the center of Diego Suarez, which is located near the main marketplace. From there, head north towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue walking until you reach Avenue de la République. Turn right onto Avenue de la République and follow it until you reach the traffic circle. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 6. This will take you towards Baie de Sakalava. Keep walking along the road; you will pass several local shops and eateries. After approximately 4 kilometers, you will see signs for Varatraza Wind Riders. The location is along the beachfront area of Baie de Sakalava, and you should be able to spot it easily from the main road.
Bicycle
If you prefer to use a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Diego Suarez. Start at the main marketplace and cycle north towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn right onto Avenue de la République and continue cycling until you reach the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto Route Nationale 6. Follow this road for about 4 kilometers. As you get closer to Baie de Sakalava, look for signs directing you to Varatraza Wind Riders. The ride should take about 25-30 minutes. Make sure to stay on the bike lane where available for safety.
Public Transport
To reach Varatraza Wind Riders via public transport, head to the main bus station in Diego Suarez. Look for a bus heading towards Baie de Sakalava or Antsiranana. Once you board the bus, inform the driver of your destination, Varatraza Wind Riders, as they can help ensure you get off at the right stop. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. After getting off, walk towards the beach, and Varatraza Wind Riders will be located nearby along the beachfront.
