    Getting There

    Walking

    Start from the center of Mahajanga, near the Avenue de l'Indépendance. Head west on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards the coastline. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Réservoirs. Turn left onto Rue des Réservoirs and continue walking until you reach the junction with Rue de l'Université. From there, follow Rue de l'Université until you reach a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit onto Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers. You will need to keep an eye out for a small sign pointing towards the Grottes de Belobaka as you approach the area. Once you see the sign, take the unnamed road leading to the Grottes, where you will find the entrance to the caves.

    Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Mahajanga, preferably near the beach area. Start at the beach and cycle along Avenue de la République towards the west. Continue along this road for around 2 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating the Grottes de Belobaka on your left. Turn onto the unnamed road that leads to the caves. The ride is relatively flat, making it an enjoyable trip, but be cautious of any potential potholes or uneven terrain.

    Public Transport (Taxi-Brousse)

    To reach Grottes de Belobaka by taxi-brousse, head to the main taxi-brousse station in Mahajanga, located near the city center. Look for the taxi-brousse heading towards the outskirts of Mahajanga heading towards the direction of the caves. Inform the driver of your destination, Grottes de Belobaka, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk a short distance along the unnamed road leading to the caves. Make sure to confirm with the driver or locals about the best drop-off point for accessing the Grottes.
