From the center of Anketrabe, head south towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route de Majunga. Walk for approximately 3 kilometers, enjoying the local scenery. Look for signs pointing towards Anja Community Reserve. Once you see the entrance sign, follow the trail leading into the reserve.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can take Avenue de l'Indépendance south for about 1 kilometer. Then, head towards Route de Majunga and continue biking for roughly 3 kilometers. The road is relatively flat and offers a scenic ride. Be mindful of local traffic and follow the signs towards Anja Community Reserve. The bike ride should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed.

For those preferring not to walk or bike, you can catch a local taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from the main taxi station in Anketrabe. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Anja Community Reserve or nearby towns. The fare typically ranges between 2,000 to 5,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary) depending on the destination. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at a point close to the reserve entrance, from which you can walk a short distance to the reserve.
