If you are staying in the center of Mahajanga, head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this main road until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn left onto Rue de la Liberté and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue walking straight; you should see signs pointing towards Place de Mahajanga. The destination will be on your left after approximately 10 minutes of walking.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near the beach area in Mahajanga. From there, cycle along the coastal road (Avenue de la Mer) heading north. Continue until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle and cycle straight for about 5 minutes. Place de Mahajanga will be on your left, just after the local market.
