From your location in Mandrare River, head towards the main path that leads out of the village. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the path. Take the left path which is marked by local signs. Continue walking for another 2 kilometers until you reach a small wooden bridge over a stream. Cross the bridge and follow the trail that leads uphill. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a clearing with a view. From there, look for signs pointing toward Nahampoana Reserve, which is about 3 kilometers further along. The reserve is located at coordinates 2XGJ+362, RN12.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the center of Mandrare River. Head towards the main road (RN12) and follow it to the southeast. After about 5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Nahampoana Reserve on your right. Turn into the dirt road that leads into the reserve area. Ride along the road, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Nahampoana Reserve. Be cautious of the terrain as it can be uneven.
