Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the central market in Toliara (Analakely Market). Head northeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Rue de l'Université. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Avenue de la République. Turn left onto Avenue de la République and walk for another 1 kilometer until you reach Rue de l'Ankarana. Here, you will see local shops and eateries. Continue straight on Rue de l'Ankarana for about 500 meters, then turn right onto Avenue des Mistrals. Walk for about 700 meters until you see a sign for Anketraka on your left. Follow the path leading to Anketraka.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Toliara. Begin at the central square (Place de la République) and cycle southwest towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Once on Avenue de l'Indépendance, head northeast for approximately 2 kilometers. When you reach Avenue de la République, take a left. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Rue de l'Ankarana. Turn right on Rue de l'Ankarana and cycle for 500 meters before turning right onto Avenue des Mistrals. After a short distance of 700 meters, you will find the entrance to Anketraka on your left.

• Group Taxi (Taxi-Brousse)

  From the main taxi-brousse station in Toliara (Gare Routière), find a taxi-brousse heading towards Andranogadra. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off near Anketraka. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, you can walk the remaining distance to Anketraka by following local signage or asking locals for directions.
