Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main town of Vatovavy Fitovinany, head south on Route Nationale 7 towards Fianarantsoa. After approximately 70 kilometers, take the exit towards Ranomafana National Park. Follow the signs directing you to Vorondolo. The park entrance will be on your right. Parking is available at the entrance, but make sure to check for any fees that may apply.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Ranomafana by public transportation, find a taxi-brousse (shared taxi van) heading to Fianarantsoa from the main taxi-brousse station in Vatovavy Fitovinany. The journey may take about 2-3 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive in Fianarantsoa, transfer to another taxi-brousse heading to Ranomafana or Vorondolo. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near the entrance of Ranomafana National Park. Expect to spend around 10,000 to 20,000 Ariary for the taxi-brousse fare.
