From downtown Augusta, start at the Augusta City Center on State Street. Head south on State Street until you reach the intersection with Water Street. Turn right onto Water Street and continue walking until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge over the Kennebec River. Once you cross the bridge, continue straight onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 for approximately 21 miles. When you reach Wiscasset, take a left onto High Street. The Wiscasset Public Library will be on your left at 21 High St.

From downtown Augusta, walk to the nearest bus stop on Water Street. Board the Midcoast Public Transportation bus heading towards Wiscasset. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the specific times. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Wiscasset, ask the driver to let you off at the stop nearest to High Street. From there, walk a short distance to High Street. The Wiscasset Public Library is located at 21 High St, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.
