Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near the Maine State House (State House Station), start by walking down State Street towards the city center. Continue on State Street until you reach the intersection with Western Avenue. Turn right onto Western Avenue and walk straight for about 0.5 miles. You will pass a few local shops and restaurants along the way, which may be worth a visit. After approximately 0.5 miles, look for Arsenal Street on your left. Turn left onto Arsenal Street and continue walking until you reach 211 Arsenal St, where Arsenal Wharf is located. The wharf is situated right by the water and offers scenic views.

• Public Transit

  From the Augusta Downtown area, you can catch the Kennebec Explorer bus service. Look for the nearest bus stop that serves the route towards Hallowell or the Maine State House. Board the bus and ride for approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of Western Avenue and Arsenal Street. From there, walk down Arsenal Street for about 0.2 miles until you reach 211 Arsenal St. Arsenal Wharf will be on your right by the river.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, start from the downtown Augusta area and head towards the Kennebec River. Follow the bike paths along the riverfront, which will lead you towards Western Avenue. Once you reach Western Avenue, turn left and bike along the road. Look for Arsenal Street and turn left onto it. Continue biking until you arrive at 211 Arsenal St. The wharf will be easily visible as you approach the river.
