Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in downtown Brunswick, head east on Maine Street toward the intersection with Pleasant Street. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Federal Street. Turn left onto Federal Street and walk for approximately 0.2 miles. You will see Bowdoin College on your right. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the college campus. Once inside the campus, follow the signs directing you toward the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum, which is located at 10 Polar Loop. The museum is situated on the far side of the campus from Maine Street. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to walk from downtown.

• Biking

  If you're renting a bike in Brunswick, start from the downtown area and head east on Maine Street. Continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Federal Street. Turn left onto Federal Street and bike for about 0.2 miles. You'll be approaching Bowdoin College; keep going until you enter the campus. Once on campus, look for directional signs pointing to the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum at 10 Polar Loop. Biking will take around 10-15 minutes from downtown, depending on your speed.

• Public Transportation

  While Brunswick has limited public transit options, you can check if the local bus service operates routes to Bowdoin College. If available, board the bus at the nearest stop and ask the driver for the closest stop to Bowdoin College. Once you arrive, follow the signs on campus to the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum located at 10 Polar Loop. Typically, the entire journey may take about 25-30 minutes, including waiting time for the bus.
