    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Camden, head east on Mechanic Street towards Main Street. Continue straight onto Elm Street, which will turn into Washington Street. Follow Washington Street until it intersects with Route 1. Carefully cross Route 1 and continue on Washington Street. After about 0.7 miles, turn left onto Barnestown Road. The Bald Mountain Preserve will be on your left at 325 Barnestown Rd, Camden, ME 04843. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 30-40 minutes.

    Biking

    If you have a bicycle, you can take a more direct route. Start from Camden Town Library and head south on Main Street. Turn right onto Mechanic Street and follow it until it becomes Elm Street. Continue onto Washington Street until you reach Route 1, where you will need to cross carefully. After crossing, continue on Washington Street and turn left onto Barnestown Road. The Bald Mountain Preserve will be on your left at 325 Barnestown Rd. This biking route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 10-15 minutes.

    Public Transport

    From Camden, take the local bus service that operates towards Rockland. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Barnestown Road. From there, it will be about a 10-minute walk to Bald Mountain Preserve. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to plan accordingly, as services may not be frequent.
