Walking
From the center of Camden, head northwest on Main Street toward the intersection with Mechanic Street. Continue straight onto Bay View Street, which will take you out of the town center. After a short distance, the road will turn into a more rural landscape. Follow Bay View Street until you reach the intersection with Atlantic Avenue. Turn right onto Atlantic Avenue and continue until you reach the entrance to Camden Hills State Park, which is located on your left. Once inside the park, follow the signs for the Hosmer Pond trail. This will lead you directly to Hosmer Pond, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Biking
Start at the Camden Public Library located at 55 Main St. Take the road leading out of the town center toward Bay View Street. Once on Bay View Street, proceed straight and enjoy the scenic bike ride. As you ride, keep an eye out for the entrance to Camden Hills State Park on your left. Once you enter the park, follow the designated bike paths or trails that lead to Hosmer Pond. The ride will offer beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
Public Transit and Walking
Begin your journey at the Camden Public Library. Take a short walk to the nearest bus stop and catch a local bus heading towards Rockport. Inform the driver that you are heading to Camden Hills State Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, disembark and follow the signs for the Hosmer Pond trail. The walk from the park entrance to the pond is well-marked and should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
