Getting There

• Car

  From Bar Harbor, take Route 3 south towards Ellsworth. Merge onto US-1 S and continue for approximately 18 miles. Take the exit toward ME-91 S and merge onto ME-91 S. After about 15 miles, take a slight right onto Cider Hill Rd. McIntire Garrison House will be on your left. Parking is available on site.

  Take the Downeast Transportation bus from Ellsworth to York. The bus departs from the Ellsworth bus station. Check the schedule for exact times. Once you arrive in York, you can use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Cider Hill Rd. Expect costs for the taxi or rideshare to be around $10-$20 depending on distance and time.

• Bicycle

  If you're in York, you can bike to McIntire Garrison House. Start at the center of York Village and head south on Route 1 for about 2 miles. Turn onto Cider Hill Rd and continue for about half a mile until you reach the house. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws.

  If you are in close proximity to the McIntire Garrison House in York, you can walk from the town center. Head south on Route 1, then turn onto Cider Hill Rd. It’s about a 30-minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes and be mindful of traffic.
