From Waterville city center, head north on Main Street towards Union Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with US-201. At this intersection, turn left onto US-201 (you will be walking towards Winslow). Follow US-201 for about 1.3 miles. Fort Halifax State Historic Site will be on your right. Look for the signs indicating the historic site as you approach.

Start at the Waterville city center and take the Kennebec River Rail Trail, which runs north along the river. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with US-201. At the intersection, turn left onto US-201 and bike for about 1.3 miles. Fort Halifax State Historic Site will be on your right. Keep an eye out for the entrance to the site.
