Getting There

  If you are in downtown Waterville, you can walk to the bus station located at 10 Water Street. From there, head to the nearby bus stop where you can catch the Kennebec Explorer bus heading to Augusta. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Augusta, get off at the Maine State House stop. The State House is located at 210 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Waterville. Start your journey heading south on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Water Street. Take a left onto Water Street and follow it until you reach the Kennebec River. Cross the river using the bridge, and continue on State Street in Augusta. The Maine State House will be on your right at 210 State Street.

• Public Transportation

  From Waterville, take the local transit service (Kennebec Explorer) from the designated bus stop at 10 Water Street. Board the bus heading to Augusta. The bus service runs multiple times a day, so check the schedule beforehand. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will disembark at the Maine State House stop located on State Street. The Maine State House is directly across the street.
