Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Blantyre, head south towards Victoria Avenue. Walk along Victoria Avenue until you reach the intersection with Masauko Chipembere Highway. Turn right onto Masauko Chipembere Highway and continue walking. Keep an eye out for the Kapeni neighborhood signs as you are getting closer. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see a sign for Kapeni. Turn left into Kapeni and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will eventually reach the area marked 526M+JWQ, which is Novahiwa. Look for local landmarks such as shops or small eateries if you need assistance on your way.

• Public Transport (Minibus)

  From the center of Blantyre, locate the minibus station near the main bus terminal. Take a minibus heading towards Kapeni; these minibuses are often labeled with their destination. The fare is usually low, around 200-500 MWK. Inform the driver that you are going to Kapeni. After a short ride, approximately 15-20 minutes, alight at the stop closest to Kapeni. From there, you can either walk the remaining distance of about 1 kilometer or ask locals for specific directions to 526M+JWQ, Novahiwa.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Blantyre. Once you have your bike, head south along Victoria Avenue towards Masauko Chipembere Highway. Follow the highway as mentioned in the walking directions, and when you reach the Kapeni neighborhood, look for signs directing you to 526M+JWQ. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes, depending on your speed.
